November 23, 2015
Empire Mock Trial is a non-profit organization based in New York that provides opportunities for thousands of high school students around the world to participate in mock trial competitions. Being a native New Yorker, Burnham Brown partner Robert Bodzin was honored to be invited as one of the judges for 2nd Annual “Battle of the Bay” Mock Trial event which took place at the Federal courthouse in San Francisco. The competition involved 250 students from the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada. After over 20 years of trying cases in New York and California, Robert enjoyed the opportunity to be the Presiding Judge for a few hours. Even more satisfying for Robert was observing the top notch advocacy skills of these high school students and their camaraderie.
