Dustin Cameron practices in Burnham Brown's retail and hospitality group and real estate group and has successfully litigated multiple jury trials.  Prior to joining Burnham Brown he worked for a small litigation firm as trial counsel where he represented clients in all aspects of unlawful detainer and civil landlord-tenant litigation.  He is experienced in discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiation and settlements, and has successfully litigated multiple jury trials.

  • Represents parties in all phases of litigation, including discovery, law and motion, mediation, and trial.
  • Handles all aspects of litigation in California Superior Court, Northern District, Eastern District and Central District of California. 
  • Defends large retailers as well as small business owners in premises liability and personal injury litigation.
  • General civil litigation practice with an emphasis in the areas of premises liability, personal injury, employment, and retail and hospitality.
  • Represent clients in all aspects of both commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation including leasing, habitability, wrongful eviction, unlawful detainer, rent control and eviction control.

Successes

  • December 2017: Defended tenant from unlawful detainer lawsuit. Jury returned verdict after 15 minutes of deliberation for my client based on inability to prove nuisance.
  • April 2018: Successfully defended wrongful eviction lawsuit resulting in substantially low verdict. Demand prior to trial was in excess of $200,000
  • Has successfully negotiated hundreds of settlements during mediation or informal negotiations.
